VE Commercial Vehicles sells 6236 units in December 2018, recording a growth of 2.4%

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) recorded sales of 6236 units in December 2018 as compared to 6087 units in December 2017, recording a growth of 2.4%. This includes 6113 units of Eicher brand and 123 units of Volvo brand.

Following are the key highlights for December 2018:

• Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 6113 units in December 2018 (YTD 51122 units) as compared to 5955 units in December 2017 (LYTD 42124 units), representing a growth of 2.6%.
• In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 5112 units in December 2018 (YTD 43890 units) as compared to 5045 units in December 2017 (LYTD 36103 units) representing a growth of 1.3%.
• On the Exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 1001 units in December 2018 (YTD 7232 units) as compared to 910 units in December 2017 (LYTD 6021 units), representing a growth of 10.0%
• Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 123 units in December 2018 (YTD 837 units) as compared to 132 units in December 2017 (LYTD 707 units).
