VE Commercial Vehicles sells 5906 units in January 2019

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) recorded sales of 5906 units in January 2019 as compared to 6801 units in January 2018, recording a decline of 13.2%. This includes 5808 units of Eicher brand and 98 units of Volvo brand.

Following are the key highlights for January 2019:

• Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 5808 units in January 2019 (YTD 56929 units) as compared to 6712 units in January 2018 (LYTD 48836 units), representing a decline of 13.5% (YTD growth at 16.6%)
• In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 5177 units in January 2019 (YTD 49066 units) as compared to 6010 units in January 2018 (LYTD 42113 units) representing a decline of 13.9% (YTD growth at 16.5%)
• On the Exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 631 units in January 2019 (YTD 7863 units) as compared to 702 units in January 2018 (LYTD 6723 units), representing a decline of 10.1% (YTD growth at 17%)
• Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 98 units in January 2019 (YTD 935 units) as compared to 89 units in January 2018 (LYTD 796 units), representing a growth of 10.1% (YTD growth at 17.5%)
