VE Commercial Vehicles sells 4573 units in May 2017

VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) has sold 4573 units in May 2017 as compared to 5771 units in May 2016 recording an overall decline of 20.8%. The May 2017 sales figure includes 4539 units of Eicher brand and 34 units of Volvo brand.

Following are the key highlights for May 2017

• Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded total sales of 4539 units in May 2017 (YTD 7616 units) as compared to 5710 units in May 2016 (LYTD 11036 units) representing a decline of 20.5%.
• In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 3953 units (YTD 6531) in May 2017 as compared to 4705 units in May 2016 (LYTD 9346 units) representing a decline of 16.0%
• On the Exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses recorded a total sale of 586 units in May 2017 (YTD 1085 units) as compared to 1005 units in May 2016 (LYTD 1690 units) representing a decline of 41.7%
• Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 34 units in May 2017 (YTD 46 units) as compared to 61 units in May 2016 (LYTD 100 units) representing a decline of 44.3%
