Eicher sells 4032 units in Dec 2012

YTD SALES STAND AT 48,262 units

The following are the key highlights for Dec 2012

• Impacted by the slowdown of the CV industry , Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 4032 units in Dec 2012 which is 20% lower than Dec 2011 sales. The YTD 2012 calendar year sales of Eicher branded trucks and buses stand at 48262 units as compared to LYTD 2011 sales of 48337 units, representing a marginal drop of 0.2%. In the domestic market ( 5T and Above), the YTD 2012 sales for Eicher trucks and buses stand at 45761 units as compared to YTD 2011 sales of 45229 units, representing a growth of 1.2% This growth is led by Buses and Heavy duty Trucks.
• In the domestic Bus segment, the Dec 2012 sales stand at 446 units as compared to 376 units in Dec 2011. Representing a 18.6 % growth. The YTD 2012 sales stand at 8520 units as compared to YTD 2011 sales of 6496 units, representing a 31.2% growth.
• In the Heavy Duty truck segment, sales stand at 678 units in the domestic market as compared to 939 units in Dec 2011. YTD Eicher HD sales stand at 7699 units as compared to 7352 units in 2011, representing a growth of 4.7%.
